The Peninsula Art Auction is back marking 20 years of championing local tamariki and celebrating exceptional local art.

This year’s event brings together over 120 artists, with a range of paintings, sculpture, ceramics, photography, and jewellery. Look out for works by celebrated names like Bill Hammond, Jason Greig, Nichola Shanley, Hannah Beehre, Mark Whyte, Ben Reid, Gill Hay, Stephanie Crisp, Delaney Davidson, Dan Summers, Marie Le Lievre, Tjalling de Vries — and many more.

A captivating exhibition of paintings, photographs, pottery, jewellery, and sculptures from local artists. Whether you’re an art enthusiast, collector, or just curious, join us at our pop-up gallery at Lyttelton Primary School, 34 Oxford Street, Lyttelton.

The event offers two visitor-friendly parts:

1. Exhibition Weekend/Silent Auction - 1st & 2nd November 2025

Entry is a gold coin donation to view all the artworks. You can place bids on selected pieces throughout the weekend from 10 am to 4 pm.

Join us for the live auction event with the charismatic Joe Bennett, who will be our auctioneer for the evening. Don’t miss your chance to bid, this will be a sell out event!
